A 30-second YouTube video of Google Assistant firing an air gun at an apple has sparked an online conversation about the ethics of artificial intelligence.
Alexander Reben told Engadget that although he picked Google Assistant to perform the task, he could have used Amazon’s Echo or other virtual assistants.
“Part of the message for me includes the unintended consequences of technology and the futility of considering every use case,” Reben said.
