This month’s biggest tech events (Jan 9 – Feb 3)

Technology

Greater Manchester Chamber of Commerce is hosting an Engineering and Manufacturing forum this Friday.

Unlike many of the Chamber’s other events, this forum is not focused purely on networking, although it’s billed as ‘a great opportunity to meet some other businesses’.

Instead, the emphasis falls on providing businesses within the sector the opportunity to express opinions, share best practice and ideas and even the occasional concern about the current state of the industry with other like-minded business people.

The free quarterly event, at 151 Deansgate, will be hosted by Chamber president Wayne Jones MBE, of MAN Diesel, and is only aimed at firms involved in the engineering and manufacturing sector.

Registration starts at 8am, and the meeting will run from 8.30am to 10am.

ÀϾÅÆ·²èCloud’s next event is titled The Future of Manchester’s Digital Tech Scene, and will be held at the UKFast Campus in Hulme, Manchester, on January 27.

Manchester is the biggest digital tech cluster in the North with a growing ecosystem of tech entrepreneurs and scale-ups, co-working spaces and accelerators, investors and business angels, and accelerating business growth organisations such as the ÀϾÅÆ·²è Growth Hub.

The Hub and ÀϾÅÆ·²èCloud have joined forces to hear from some of the digital tech businesses across Greater Manchester and meet some of the local entrepreneurial talent.

Here is a round-up of events in the North West and throughout the UK over the next four weeks. Check beck for an updated diary.
