Deloitte tax partner Sean Beech has called time on his stellar 39-year career – for now.
Beech previously worked at Binder Hamlyn and Arthur Andersen but he鈥檚 best known for spending more than two decades at Deloitte.
A familiar face in Manchester and Liverpool, he said: 鈥淚 have an amazing memory bank and I leave feeling fulfilled and content.
鈥淔ittingly, I鈥檒l be celebrating with my family at home. A few months rest (and reset) and then I鈥檒l start my next chapter.鈥
His announcement prompted a flurry of tributes and goodwill messages on social media.
Legendary dealmaker Barry Nightingale wrote: 鈥淪ean, a tremendous career for a top pro! I鈥檝e enjoyed many happy memories with you. Enjoy your future.鈥
Jo Ahmed MBE, who is Deloitte鈥檚 senior partner in the North West, said: 鈥淵ou鈥檝e had an amazing career at Deloitte Sean and contributed so much to our business locally and nationally and leave behind an incredible legacy.
鈥淭hank you for the many years of dedication and for all your support of me and the broad partner group.鈥
Beech played a key role in Liverpool鈥檚 return to MIPIM in 2014.
He led a private sector team of around 20 people and grew it five-fold by 2019, including the new Metro Mayor Steve Rotheram.
One of Beech鈥檚 biggest achievements was in leading Deloitte鈥檚 Manchester office move project to the state-of-the-art 100 Embankment for its 1,400 North West staff.
He also sat on the firm鈥檚 national real estate leadership team for 10 years, working with the likes of Peel, Redrow, Bridgemere and Marshalls.
