Aircall, a business offering cloud-based phone system, has raised $29 million in Series B funding.

The Lonodon-based business secured the funding which was led by UK investor Draper Esprit, with participation from Balderton Capital, NextWorld Capital, eFounders and Newfund.

The company said that they will use the new funds to buildout its platform, including integrations into all the software tools used by modern businesses and secure new talent in both Europe and the U.S.

鈥淢ost business tools have been redefined in recent years to enable collaboration and flexibility across a company,鈥 said Ben Tompkins, Managing Partner at Draper Esprit.

鈥淗owever, for too many teams, the phone remains disconnected from the rest of their everyday tools.

鈥淭he Aircall team is uniquely positioned to change this, which is why we鈥檙e so excited to make this investment.鈥

The company, launched in 2014, considers the UK to be one of its main markets.

鈥淭eams are increasingly looking for efficiency and productivity gains made possible by integrating your phone into the SaaS tools your business is already using,鈥 added Olivier Pailhes, CEO of Aircall.

鈥淲e look forward to delivering more value to our customers through product enhancements and a broader integration ecosystem.鈥

Aircall has secured strategic partnerships with brands including Salesforce, Zendesk, Intercom, Hubspot, and Zoho

鈥淪ince our first investment in 2015, it鈥檚 been clear that Aircall is addressing a major need for the modern business,鈥 ,鈥 said Bernard Liautaud, Managing Partner at Balderton Capital.

They have the potential to be a transformative business and we can鈥檛 wait to see the next chapter in their growth
