Zuckerburg EU Parliament meeting set for Facebook Live

Facebook founder Mark Zuckerburg’s聽meeting with the EU Parliament聽will be livestreamed on his Facebook platform.

The world-famous entrepreneur originally agreed to meet politicians behind closed doors but has now acquiesced to the new arrangement following a reported outcry from the general public that the meeting was too secretive.

Antonio Tajani, president of the European Parliament, tweeted the news earlier today after speaking with CEO聽Zuckerburg.

The meeting will now be streamed on the European Parliament’s Facebook page, which has 2.5 million likes,聽from 5:15pm UK time聽on Tuesday.

Tajani wrote in a statement that 鈥渨eb giants must be held responsible for the content they publish, including blatantly false news and illegal content鈥.

Zuckerburg appeared in front of US Congress recently to discuss the platform’s privacy measures in protecting personal data.
