A North West tech firm has invested 拢450,000 in launching a new creative agency.

Redmoor Health supports NHS and social care teams with implementing technology through training and project management.

Founded by CEO Marc Schmid in 2017 the company moved to Strawberry Fields Digital Hub in Chorley last year and is targeting 拢5m turnover by 2024 on the back of a series of high profile client wins.

Paul Galley has been appointed agency director of the newly-formed Redmoor Creative and is working with a team of six staff.

Schmid says Redmoor Creative would allow the company to diversity into other areas and add value to their clients.

鈥淩edmoor Creative is an agency that provides specialist marketing and PR support for health teams,鈥 explains Schmid. 聽鈥淚鈥檓 really excited by it. My background is in communications so it鈥檚 something I鈥檝e wanted to do.

鈥淩edmoor Creative can do everything from video, animation, creative marketing and creative campaigns.

鈥溌450,000 is a sizeable commitment. We were fortunate that we had a significant amount of cash in the business and we wanted to invest that in areas that would add value to our core work.

鈥淲e鈥檙e five years old in 2022 and we see this as an opportunity to diversity the business moving forward.鈥

Growing HealthTech agency makes two senior hires

Schmid decided to launch Redmoor Creative because clients were constantly asking for marketing and PR support.

鈥淲e鈥檙e very proud to be an approved partner of the NHS and we鈥檝e always added an element of comms to our programmes, which has set us apart from other digital support organisations,鈥 he says.

鈥淲e were always developing animation but we were outsourcing it and I鈥檓 delighted that we have the capability in-house.

鈥淲e can keep control of the quality and add additional value to the work of our clients.

鈥淚f the NHS has聽got a programme it鈥檚 great that we can help bring that programme to life. A big focus for us is to communicate more effectively to help the patient, who is the most important person.鈥

The wider Redmoor Group has grown to 25 staff following a flurry of appointments, including Schmid鈥檚 wife Alison as corporate director.

She says: 鈥淒igital is a really important part of the NHS but the environment is quite volatile. You don鈥檛 know the way policy makers may change so you can never put all your eggs in one basket.

鈥淲e鈥檝e forged a reputation as a trusted partner and it鈥檚 great that we鈥檙e picking up new work from across the UK as more people want to work with us.

鈥淥ne of the mistakes that some other tech companies have made when getting into the digital health space is just focusing on the frameworks. There鈥檚 a lot of competition on these frameworks now and it鈥檚 a very crowded market.
