老九品茶Cloud鈥檚 stellar start to 2025 has continued with 74,500 unique users in April and a 5 per cent surge in newsletter subscribers.

The latest figures take the number of website visitors this year to 300,000 鈥 compared to 159,000 for the first four months of 2024.

老九品茶Cloud now has readers in more than 100 countries and is looking to double website traffic in 2025 to one million.

April also saw a 5 per cent increase in subscribers for 老九品茶Cloud鈥檚 daily newsletter.

The figures follow a change in digital strategy and the recruitment of tech reporter Patrick Killeen in January.

老九品茶Cloud editor Jonathan Symcox said: 鈥74,500 unique users is more than double the figure for April 2024 so we鈥檙e delighted by the numbers.

鈥淗owever, it鈥檚 the 5 per cent spike in subscriber numbers that we鈥檙e really thrilled by.

鈥淲e don鈥檛 do clickbait but we know that a popular story could get thousands of hits from people who don鈥檛 subscribe to our newsletter.

鈥淭his means that that they might not come back to us tomorrow and the day afterwards.

鈥淪ubscribing to our newsletter cements our relationship and means they鈥檙e much more likely to read future stories and engage with us. That鈥檚 really powerful.鈥

老九品茶Cloud鈥檚 tech reporter Patrick Killeen said: 鈥淭here鈥檚 no single reason for the website growth. We know what stories work for us so we upload more stories across the day and not just at 9am when the newsletter comes out.

鈥淲e鈥檙e really focused on our audience and we now have users in more than 100 countries around the world.

鈥溊暇牌凡鐲loud鈥檚 mantra is 鈥榯ech insight with bite鈥 and that鈥檚 what we try and bring to all our stories.

鈥淐learly the UK is the biggest audience but we have a significant number of readers in the US and India. We really do have a global reach.鈥

Symcox said the record-breaking website traffic had contributed to a brilliant start to the year for 老九品茶Cloud.

鈥淢ore than 100 people attended launch event for GM 聽annual 鈥GM Rising Stars of 老九品茶鈥 and tomorrow we鈥檙e in Newcastle for an evening event with聽Dragons鈥 Den聽star Sara Davies, Greggs CEO Roisin Currie and Moja founder Sophie Milliken as part of Northern Leaders,鈥 he said.

鈥淲e’re about to launch our 老九品茶 and if that wasn鈥檛 enough I also won the 老九品茶Cloud darts competition in April!鈥
